Pairs well with

The CX302 is the ultimate light weight climbing shoe without sacrificing comfort, secure fit or power transfer. Utilizing Clarino microfiber, dual BOA® Li2 dials and Lake’s Handmade CFC 3K carbon fiber sole, you have a cycling slipper that weighs an amazing 195 grams (size 44, not including the insole).

CX/TX Race Last– Featuring a slightly more narrow toe box and tighter heel than the Competition last and less overall volume than the Sport last. Designed for very high-cadence riding with a slimmer fit. The wide version offers 15mm of additional volume at the ball of the foot.

Lake Race 100% Carbon Fiber Sole. Available in a 3-hole cleat pattern. CX302 utilizes Lake’s patent double sole system. The inner sole is a semi flexible carbon fiber platform that allows the foot to have some flexibility at the ball of the foot where the foot tends to swell and typically hot spots or numbness would occur. The inner sole is suspended over the outer rigid carbon sole. This system enables us to use an extremely stiff carbon outsole without sacrificing riding comfort.

Clarino Microfiber and mesh with Carbitex Medial Support panel for a secure fit.

BOA® Fit System Li2 dials. The Li2 dial is the most advanced platform in cycling, offering a precise, micro-adjustable fit in both directions and designed to resist abrasion.

light, comfortable and stiff. great for wide forefeet and narrow heels

Most of my riding is in Miami and the heavier Lakes were just not breathable enough. The CX 302 Wide was recommended to me by Lake management when I called (great customer service). Love them. Will buy another pair or two.

Lake 302 wide

The shoes fit my foot perfectly. I use G8 inserts. Size 43. I was using Mavic Cosmic Ulitmates in a 43.5. They were a bit too narrow for my right foot. Durace cleats mounted up without issues. I like to run cleats as far back and in as they can go. As for how cool they are I will have to wait a few months. It does get hot in Texas. I will prob buy another pair or two in case they decide to make improvements in the future.
